Time Warner Cable and ESPN Deportes Offer Soccer Fans a Chance to Win a Trip to Spain to Watch the 2011 Edition of the Supercopa de España

The Supercopa sweepstakes will give three winners and a guest each the chance to experience one of the biggest rivalries in sports today and enjoy the best soccer in the world. The Supercopa matches will air live and in HD on ESPN Deportes and ESPN3.com, Sunday, August 14 live from the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, and Wednesday, August 17 from the Camp Nou Stadium in Barcelona. The Championship will be followed by the kickoff of the 2011-2012 Spain’s La Liga season the weekend of August 20th, across ESPN’s platforms. Time Warner Digital Cable customers will have the opportunity to re-live the excitement of the best La Liga matches and watch other exclusive content on Lo Mejor On Demand, a Free On Demand (FOD) channel with original content from the top Spanish-language networks, including ESPN Deportes.

Winners will attend the second and decisive Supercopa game in Barcelona, Spain on August 17th and can document their experience via the Time Warner Cable “Mi Vida, A Mi Manera” Facebook application. The promotion is an extension of the “Mi Vida, A Mi Manera” brand campaign which offers Hispanics the content that they are most passionate about, such as sports, and empowers them to live life on their own terms.

Organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation since 1982, the Supercopa is celebrated every August and kicks off the official soccer season in Spain. Comprised of both a home and away match, the Supercopa brings together the champions of the Spanish League and the Copa del Rey final. This year’s competition showcases two Clasicos as Barcelona and Real Madrid clash two more times this year. The country’s top teams have distinguished themselves in this tournament with Barcelona having won 9 Supercopas, including the last two in 2010 and 2009, and Real Madrid, with a tally of 8 Supercopa titles, having won last in 2008.
