FIS Earns Prestigious U.S. and Global Recognition

New Rankings in Barron’s 500, Fortune 500 and Forbes Global 2000

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--()--FIS™ (NYSE:FIS), the world’s largest provider of banking and payments technology, today announced it received the third place ranking in the 2011 Barron’s 500 and the ranking of 426 in the 2011 Fortune 500. In addition, FIS was ranked 967 on the Forbes Global 2000 list.

The Barron’s 500 is an exclusive ranking of the 500 largest publicly-traded companies in the U.S. and Canada, as measured by sales in the latest fiscal year. FIS was named to the Barron’s 500 for the first time, ranking No. 3. According to commentary from Barron’s, the rankings “suggest management is on its game and adept at using all available tools to find new markets, control costs and deliver the products and services customers want, need and demand.” It added, “… behind each name in our weighting of large companies is a winning executive, such as Frank Martire.”

The Fortune 500 is Fortune magazine’s annual ranking of the top 500 private and publicly-held companies in the U.S. determined by their gross revenue. Forbes magazine’s Global 2000 is the list of the world’s top publicly-traded companies based on their rankings in four categories including sales, profits, assets and market value.
