Concho Resources Agrees to Sell Its Bakken Assets for $196 Million

MIDLAND, Texas--()--Concho Resources Inc. (NYSE: CXO) (“Concho” or the “Company”) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with Linn Energy (NASDAQ: LINE) to sell its North Dakota Bakken assets for $196 million. The sale is expected to close by the end of the first quarter of 2011 and is subject to customary closing conditions and purchase price adjustments.

RBC Richardson Barr served as the Company’s advisor in connection with the sale.
