CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oxford Global Resources, the technology division of On Assignment (NASDAQ: ASGN), announced today that they are a recipient of the 2011 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award given by the Defense Security Service (DSS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Defense.
Oxford was one of only 17 recipients of this year’s award, selected by the DSS from a field of 13,000 contractors providing services to the Department of Defense subject to recurring inspection. The Cogswell Award, established in 1966 and named in honor of the late Air Force colonel James S. Cogswell, recognizes industrial security excellence and is the highest honor a company can receive for excellence in the handling of classified information.

The Cogswell Award selection process is rigorous. According to the DSS (http://www.dss.mil/about_dss/press_room/11cogswell.html), facilities may only be nominated if they have at a minimum two consecutive superior industrial security review ratings, and show a sustained degree of excellence and innovation in their overall security program management, implementation, and oversight.
