DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CB Richard Ellis (“CBRE”), the international commercial real estate firm, today announces the appointment of Michael Harrington as Executive Director and to the new role of ‘Pan Ireland’ Head of Retail with immediate effect. Based in Dublin, Michael will lead the Irish retail practice, establish a specialist Belfast retail division and work closely with Guy Hollis, Managing Director of Ireland, and Ciaran Bird, Head of UK Retail, to better align the Irish and UK retail practices. Michael joins CBRE from HWBC and brings with him a wealth of experience in the Irish retail sector gained over the last two decades having held previous positions with JLL, NCB Property and Palmer McCormack.
With a strong existing retail platform within CBRE Ireland, Michael’s appointment is a further step towards building CBRE into a clear market leadership position in the retail property sector, reflecting the company’s existing position as Ireland’s leading commercial property advisor.
