Pampers and Direct Relief International Join Together to Aid Families Affected by Recent Natural Disasters

As Part of Their Recently Launched Little Miracle Missions Campaign, Pampers Will Provide Direct Relief International with Diapers, Wipes and Funds to Help Those Recently Affected

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--()--Pampers, one of the original diaper brands to distribute disposable diapers around the globe, is continuing its year-long 50th birthday celebration with the announcement of its most recent mission in its Little Miracle Missions program, which seeks to celebrate, support and protect babies everywhere through acts of kindness to little miracles (babies) and their families, while encouraging parents to “pay it forward” and support others.

Pampers is encouraging consumers to log on to their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/pampers) to show their support for those families recently affected by natural disasters in the United States. By heading to the page’s “Miracle Missions” tab, consumers will be able to help trigger donations of Pampers diapers and wipes, as well as funding, directly to Direct Relief International to benefit parents and babies affected by the recent natural disasters. For every click of the “I support” button on the “Miracle Missions” tab, Pampers will donate one diaper, one pack of wipes, and $1 to Direct Relief International to help families in affected areas. For those participants who share stories detailing their little miracles - babies - Pampers will donate an additional two diapers, two packs of wipes, and $2 to Direct Relief.

“Due to the recent natural disasters across the U.S., many parents are spending time worrying about basic living essentials and less time with their own little miracles,” said John Brase, Pampers Marketing Director. “With the support of our consumers, Pampers will be able to provide Direct Relief International with the materials needed to make the lives of these families a little easier.”

“For families who have lost their homes and been displaced in the recent spate of tornadoes and other severe weather across much of the U.S., necessities like diapers and baby wipes are especially valued,” said Damon Taugher, Director of Direct Relief USA. “During non-emergency situations, these products are among the most requested items from partner health facilities worldwide, including those treating low-income patients in the U.S. Direct Relief is extremely grateful to Pampers for the generous donation of diapers, wipes and funds.”

Since launching in April 2011, the Little Miracle Missions program has seen Pampers donate more than 30,000 care packages to over 800 NICUs throughout the country, throw surprise baby showers for new and expectant mothers in honor of Mother's Day and toast dads for all that they do through a series of national Father’s Day celebrations.
