Adjusted pre-tax pre-provision net revenue(1) of $85.2 million or 1.83% of average assets in the second quarter of 2021 compared to $86.4 million or 1.86% in the first quarter of 2021. NIM(2) for the second quarter of 2021 was 3.10% as compared to 3.22% for the linked quarter as the decline continues to be driven by lower average loan balances and lower hedge income, partially offset by lower deposit costs. Total cost of deposits of 0.15% in 2Q21, improved over both 0.20% in 1Q21 and 0.46% in 2Q20. Adjusted noninterest expenses(1) of $99.8 million, up $2.0 million or 2.0% from the linked quarter. Adjusted efficiency ratio of 53.9%. ACL to total loans at 2.13% including a provision release of ($51.9) million for 2Q21 reflecting improvement in credit metrics and economic forecasts. Net charge-offs were $8.7 million or 0.29% annualized of average loans, compared to $12.1 million or 0.39% annualized in the prior quarter and $32.6 million or 0.94% annualized in the prior year quarter. The current quarter net charge-offs included $8.5 million in one Energy credit previously identified and reserved. NPLs totaled $122.5 million or 1.05% of total loans and total nonperforming assets totaled $140.1 million or 0.75% of total assets, as credit trends continue to improve. The ACL to NPL was 202.2% at 2Q21 compared to 249.7% at 1Q21 and 165.3% in 2Q20. Excluding PPP loans, the ACL was 2.17% of total loans at June 30, 2021, down from 2.67% at March 31, 2021. The 2Q21 decline was driven by a mix shift out of loans and into investment securities, as well as $3.3 million in lower hedge income, $1.3 million in lower accretion, $1.2 million in lower PPP income, and partially offset by $2.5 million in lower funding costs. NIM of 3.10% was down 12 bp from 3.22% for 1Q21, and excluding PPP loans, was 3.09% in 2Q21, down 15 bp from 3.24%. 2Q21 NIM, excluding PPP loans, was impacted by declines in average loan balances -13bps, lower hedge income -8bp, partially offset by the impact of improved funding costs +5bp and increased average investment securities +4bp. Collar gain recognition and swap hedge interest income for 2Q21 was $10.8 million as compared to $14.1 million for 1Q21. 2Q total cost of funds at 0.23% and total cost of deposits at 0.15%, representing declines of 6bp and 5bp, respectively. Yield on loans excluding accretion, hedging and PPP loans was 3.86% in 2Q21, down 5 bp from 3.91% for 1Q21. Excluding PPP loans, ~65% of the total loan portfolio was floating at 6/30/21. Predominantly long-term relationships with experienced operators. Geographically focused in-footprint, primarily in local markets demonstrating resiliency in past economic cycles. Portfolio is Hilton and Marriott family flag centric: primarily limited service/smaller properties with lower fixed cost structure and limited to no exposure to luxury, big box, heavy food and beverage dependent properties.
