Other Events
On March 14, 2023, Evergy Kansas Central issued $400,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its First Mortgage Bonds, 5.70% Series due 2053 (the “Mortgage Bonds”), pursuant to an Underwriting Agreement, dated March 7, 2023, among Evergy Kansas Central, Regions Securities LLC, TD Securities (USA) LLC, U.S. Bancorp Investments, Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, as representatives of the several underwriters named therein. The Mortgage Bonds were registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, pursuant to the shelf registration statement on Form
S-3
(333-259245-02)
of Evergy Kansas Central (the “Registration Statement”).
In connection with the issuance and sale of the Mortgage Bonds, Evergy Kansas Central entered into several agreements and other instruments listed in Item 9.01 of this Current Report on Form
8-K
and filed as exhibits hereto. These exhibits are incorporated by reference into the Registration Statement.
