Item 8.01 Changes in Registrant’s Certifying Accountant

On February 26, 2021, Orion Engineered Carbons S.A. issued a press release announcing that it will hold its annual general meeting of shareholders on Thursday, June 24, 2021, and that it has set the record date for the admission of shareholders as April 29, 2021. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is incorporated by reference herein.
