Item 8.01. Other Events.

 

On May 1, 2009, iPCS, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois (the “Court”) has denied the motion by Sprint Nextel Corporation (“Sprint”) to dismiss claims brought by the Company’s subsidiaries asserting that Sprint has improperly withheld 4G technology from them in connection with Sprint’s transaction with Clearwire Corporation.  The Court also ruled that the Company’s subsidiaries’ claims for relief could not include certain types of monetary relief.

 

A copy of the Company’s press release of May 1, 2009 containing these announcements is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
