Item 8.01    Other Events.

On September 18, 2023, AbCellera Biologics Inc. (the “Company”) took ownership of an antibody drug candidate that was discovered by the Company as part of its collaboration with EQRx Inc. (“EQRx”). The antibody drug candidate targets Ox40 ligand and is being developed as a potential best-in-class therapy for the treatment of atopic dermatitis and other indications in autoimmunity and inflammation. The Company is advancing the antibody drug candidate into IND-enabling studies and will periodically provide updates as the program advances through development.
