Autoliv Inc. (NYSE: ALV and SSE: ALIV)(STO:ALIVSDB) – the worldwide leader in automotive safety systems – has pledged $400,000 to the rescue and restoration efforts following the devastating earthquake and tsunami in northern Japan. This donation will be directed through the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Mr. Carlson visited Japan this week to personally thank the Company’s employees for their heroic efforts to resume production within the plants. Autoliv has four manufacturing facilities in Japan with only one facility suffering minor damage. This plant was brought back into operations on March 15, just four days after the earthquake, and resumed its first customer deliveries on March 17.
