The following was sent by Oak Street Health, Inc. (“Oak Street Health”) on February 8, 2023 to providers who work with Oak Street Health:

To: All OSH Providers

From: Mike and Julie

Date: Wednesday, February 8

Time: 5:06 AM CT

Subject: Important Message for Our Providers

Oak Street Providers,

We wanted to follow up on this morning’s announcement about our plans for Oak Street to join forces with CVS Health. Hopefully you saw the press release we issued and have had a chance to watch the video with Mike’s message to our Oaky team.

As we continue to pursue our mission to rebuild healthcare as it should be, we recognize that you, our Oakies on the front line, are the backbone of our organization. The work you do each day caring for your patients is what drives our success and is a key reason why we are able to take this step with CVS Health.

We are confident that this transaction will further enhance our ability to provide more clinical support and resources to our centers, making our Oak Street centers even better workplaces for providers. By partnering with CVS, we create an outstanding opportunity to meet more people in our communities, helping us bring our strong care model to many more people. Very importantly, we do not anticipate any disruption in the way you practice medicine. We will continue to execute on outstanding patient engagement by providing an unmatched experience and we will continue to achieve best in class outcomes by providing the best care anywhere.

We anticipate that your patients and partners will hear about this announcement and may ask you questions about what it means for them and/or the future of Oak Street. Attached to this message, please find a toolkit containing communications guidelines as well as talking points and Q&A to help guide your conversations with patients who ask about the transaction. Most importantly, nothing about the way our patients are cared for should change.

As we work together with CVS Health to determine ways in which our organizations can collectively advance our mission, we will continue to communicate with openness and transparency so that we can advance our collective goals. Until the transaction closes, which we expect to occur in 2023, Oak Street and CVS Health will continue to operate as separate, independent companies.

Oak Street is committed to the delivery of high-quality primary care and an unmatched patient experience, and that begins with an exceptional team of providers. As always, thank you for all that you do!

Sincerely,

Mike Pykosz
