Item 8.01 Other Events.

On December 8, 2020, Turning Point Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Company’s lead drug candidate, repotrectinib, has been granted breakthrough therapy designation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of patients with ROS1-positive metastatic non-small cell lung cancer who have not been treated with a ROS1 tyrosine kinase inhibitor. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
