Hi everyone,

I wanted to follow up on my earlier email this week about our shareholders meeting today. Great news! Our shareholders voted in favor of combining New Media Investment Group and Gannett. New Media shareholders voted in favor as well.

We expect to close the transaction next Tuesday, November 19. Outstanding teams worked on this effort and I want to thank them all.

I’ll have more to say next week after our expected close but suffice it to say that this deal represents the coming together of two great companies and terrific teams, with similar values and a strong commitment to journalism.

Best, Paul
