EXPLANATORY NOTE
The sole purpose of this amendment to the Current Report on Form 8-K/A (the “Form 8-K/A”) filed by Infinera Corporation (the “Company”) with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 12, 2019 (the “Form 8-K”), is to add Inline eXtensible Business Reporting Language tagging to the cover page of this Form 8-K/A and to furnish Exhibit 104 to this Form 8-K/A relating to the same. All other information in the Form 8-K remains unchanged.

Results of Operations and Financial Condition. |
On November 12, 2019, Infinera Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing financial results for its third quarter ended September 28, 2019. The Company also posted on the Investor Relations section of its website (www.infinera.com) investor slides with respect to its third quarter ended September 28, 2019 and outlook for its fourth quarter ending December 28, 2019. A copy of the press release and investor slides are furnished as Exhibit 99.1 and Exhibit 99.2, respectively, to this Current Report on Form 8-K. Information on the Company’s website is not, and will not be deemed, a part of this report or incorporated into any other filings the Company makes with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
