PENN VIRGINIA RESOURCE PARTNERS, L.P. ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF

DIRECTOR OF GENERAL PARTNER

RADNOR, PA (BusinessWire) November 15, 2006 – Penn Virginia Resource Partners, L.P. (NYSE: PVR) announced that, effective today, Keith B. Jarrett has resigned from the Board of Directors of Penn Virginia Resource GP, LLC, PVR’s general partner. Mr. Jarrett had been a director since December 2001.
