(September 20, 2005) - Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. ("PSI") (NASDAQ: PSYS) today announced it closed on the sale of 4,025,000 shares of its common stock at a price of $50.24 per share. Of these shares, 525,000 were sold through the full exercise of the underwriters' over-allotment option. The Company sold all of the shares in the offering and received net proceeds of approximately $192.5 million. PSI intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to repay all borrowings under its revolving credit facility and the remainder for the acquisition of new inpatient facilities, the repayment of indebtedness under its senior secured term loan and general corporate purposes.
