     On May 27, 2010, Nicholas J. Simon resigned from the Board of Directors of Avanir Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “ Company”). Mr. Simon’s resignation was not the result of a disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to its operations, policies or practices.
